Recruiter's ForumsExecutive Recruiter Summit Looks at Shrinking Talent Pool
At a recent summit organized by ICMA, 28 Executive Recruiters from around the country underscored a dramatic shift in the talent pool for government managers. Organized by ICMA Executive Director Bob, O'Neill and ICMA Vice-President Frank Benest, the summit had three key obectives:
1) Learn from the recruiters about the changing market realities,
2) Share information about ICMA's "Next Generation" initiative, and
3) Engage executive recruiters in the initiative. The attached PDF file gives a report from that summit. Click on it to see more.

Listen to what executive recruiters who fill top local government management positions throughout the United States have to say about advancing in your career. Click on a question or executive recruiter you’d like to know more about and you’ll access a five-minute interview of that person with Don Maruska, the Cal-ICMA Coaching Program Director.
These recordings occurred during the ICMA Annual Conference held October 17-19, 2004, in San Diego, California. At that conference, 28 executive recruiters attended the Executive Recruiters Summit organized by ICMA Executive Director Bob O’Neill and ICMA Vice-President Frank Benest.
