City Manager

City of Freeport, TX

Freeport is seeking a results-driven and experienced local government professional who brings strong operational skills, clear communication, and a steady leadership presence. The ideal candidate will be energized by the opportunity to lead a capable team, work closely with an engaged City Council, and guide meaningful progress in a dynamic coastal community.

Minimum Qualifications
At least five (5) years of experience as a City Manager or Assistant City Manager in a full-service municipality
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, political science, or a closely related field

Preferred Qualifications
Texas municipal experience
Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA), Business (MBA), or related discipline
Experience with economic development, infrastructure planning, and intergovernmental relations
Demonstrated success in navigating Council relations, mentoring staff, and leading organizational change
