Through funding from the Water Research Foundation, ICMA supported a research project with ARCADIS that developed a communication strategy and toolkit to help utilities gain support during rate and budget approval process.
The U.S. Supreme Court heard numerous cases of interest to state and local government this term. The cases involve issues such as prayer at a town board meeting, banning affirmative action at public universities, and buffer-zones surrounding reproductive health clinics.
Through a grant from U.S. HUD, ICMA works with Healthy Housing Solutions, Inc. on the Healthy Communities Transformation Initiative (HCTI). The HCTI was designed to improve the health systems and the physical, social, and economic service structures that support healthy living and healthy behaviors in our communities.
