The ICMA Executive Board held its quarterly meeting on January 15-18, 2026 in Coppell, Texas and took the following actions:
- Reviewed the results of the environmental scan of ICMA’s strategic planning process and worked collaboratively on the key elements of the strategic roadmap.
- Approved the operational priorities for the upcoming fiscal year budget, focusing on a dual commitment to core services and reimagining the ICMA business model.
- Approved a contract with the University of North Carolina to develop a comprehensive database documenting forms of municipal government.
- Appointed the following individuals to the MissionSquare Board of Directors: David Ellis, Tanya Ange, and Jean Grisi.
- Reviewed preliminary financial results from the 2025 ICMA Annual Conference in Tampa.
- Reviewed board committee reports and their annual workplans.
- Approved member committees and task forces for 2026.
- Reviewed logistical arrangements and joint programming for the upcoming March board meeting and global exchange in Dublin, Ireland.
