
The ICMA Executive Board held its most recent monthly virtual meeting on July 11, 2025, and took the following actions:
- Approved a lease for ICMA’s new headquarters office space. ICMA is anticipated to move to this space in early 2026.
- Approved the contract for audiovisual expenses for the 2025 Brownfields Conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois.
- Completed their annual review of the nominations and elections process and approved the Nominations and Election Process Schedule for 2025-2026.
- Reviewed and approved the recommended guidelines for Tenets 3, 8, and 10 of the ICMA Code of Ethics. The tenets are the profession’s principles and per ICMA’s Constitution, the membership approves any revisions by ballot. The board has the authority to approve changes to the tenet’s associated guidelines.
- Continued governance and regional reapportionment discussions. The board will continue its discussion on further governance recommendations at its next virtual meeting in August before the recommendations are presented to the membership at the ICMA Annual Conference.
