
The 2025 ICMA Annual Election Ballot will close on Friday, May 30, at 11:59 pm ET. This year, Corporate (voting) members are asked to cast their vote for regional vice presidents in each of ICMA's six regions, as well as on proposed amendments to Tenets 8 and 10 of the ICMA Code of Ethics.
Election results will be canvassed by a committee composed of three ICMA Corporate members the week of June 9, 2025, and the results will be announced to the membership in the June 17 issue of Leadership Matters.
How to Vote
The link and credentials to access the 2025 annual election ballot were emailed to ICMA Corporate members eligible to vote. The email comes from a third-party online voting vendor, Association Voting, announcement@associationvoting.com. Be sure to check your spam folder. Questions or issues voting? Who Can Vote?
Article VIII. Section I. of the ICMA Constitution states, "The privilege of voting is limited to Corporate Members." Corporate members are:
i. Full members (managers, deputies, and assistants working in local government, along with members who previously served in those roles, including Life Members).
ii. Affiliate members currently serving in an appointed position in local government who have a minimum of five years of service to a local government and five years of membership in ICMA.
