This is the 2010 nomination of Mesa, Arizona's Community Recycling Partnerships program for the Community Sustainability Award. Deputy City Manager Bryan Raines is credited with helping forge a partnership between the City of Mesa's Solid Waste Management and Mesa’s Public School District to more proactively offer recycling at all elementary schools and administrative offices. Thus far these recycling efforts have generated a savings of $3,414.16 per month.
