The City of Tulare, CA has a thriving agricultural community and as such preserving the city’s natural resources is an important priority for everyone. The city has implemented a number of energy efficiency and water conservation programs, including a multi-phase photovoltaic solar energy project. This newest program will help make the city’s wastewater treatment plant self-sustaining while also creating a new source of revenue. The city’s many green initiatives helped saved the community an estimated $13.9 million.
