In 2003 Schaumburg, IL formed the Domestic Violence Response Team to help stop offenders, allow victims to leave, and provide them with proper support. The overall goals of the team are to provide victims with a thorough investigation through the combined departmental efforts of social services, patrol, and administration. They work to help educate the public about domestic violence while making themselves easily accessible to those who most need their assistance.
