The Glenn Seaborg Learning Consortium gathered together twelve preeminent educational and cultural institutions to collaborate in enriching the lives of children, parents, and grandparents through exposing them to great literature, research technology, afternoon programs, evening exhibits, civic lectures, beautiful music, spoken words, expert classes, and hands-on workshops, all under one roof. At the new Lafayette Library and Learning Center in Lafayette, California, a new and unique partnership of the most prestigious non-profit organizations leverages the San Francisco Bay Area’s rich urban cultural assets into this suburban community. Named for the Nobel Laureate and Lafayette resident Glenn Seaborg, this organization represents an innovative partnership with great potential for replication.
