 
Westlake is a small town that experienced an explosion in growth between 2002 and 2012. To continue providing its services in a relevant manner to a growing community, the government of Westlake began to focus on communication with residents. The program is aimed to increase government innovation, enhance community involvement, and find sustainability in financial resources.
To serve these goals, a survey was administered, a newsletter was developed, neighborhood meetings were held, and local news was delivered using modern media systems. The results showed that 74% of residents were satisfied with the city's efforts to keep them informed. Further, 91% felt gatherings were informative and 84% felt they were able to voide their ideas and concerns.
