The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District and the Naperville Fire Department share a common border in their response areas located approximately 25 miles west of the City of Chicago in northern Illinois. The two agencies work closely together to address fire suppression, Emergency Medical Service, Technical Rescue, Water Rescue and Hazardous Materials incidents in their respective districts. By breaking through commonplace thinking and the plague of doing things the way we have always done them, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District and the Naperville Fire Department were able to provide an increased level of service to their residents at no cost. By using a reserve Ambulance and personnel who are already on-duty, both Lisle-Woodridge and Naperville are able to provide better Ambulance coverage to a mutually agreed upon response area.
